Hey, I’m Drega Abdi.

This site is both a portfolio showcasing my instructional design projects and a blog documenting my journey through the MA program in Technical Communication and eLearning. In the blog, I explore the theories, tools, and practical applications shaping modern teaching and learning. I also share my experiences, challenges, and insights gained from coursework and digital skills development. You will also find a dedicated portfolio section that highlights my work, including interactive e-learning courses, storyboards, user guides and training materials.

With over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry as a nurse, health informaticist, and learning experience designer, I bring a unique perspective to creating effective training solutions. I’m passionate about tackling organizational challenges and designing impactful learning experiences, leveraging my skills in eLearning development, instructional design, business intelligence reporting, and agile project management. My approach is guided by the ADDIE model, ensuring measurable outcomes for both learners and stakeholders.

When I’m not working or studying, you can find me running, cycling, or tending to my ever-expanding collection of houseplants.
